Millions of Canadians throughout the world fly their national flag - with the iconic red maple leaf - to celebrate Canada Day on 1st July each year;  It’s a day to be patriotic with loud and proud parades being held in most cities and towns as well as music, picnics and magnificent firework shows. Canada Day is an incredible display of solidarity, a day when the nation’s many cultures join together to celebrate what makes their country so special. 

we’ve compiled a list of the best events, parades and fireworks to celebrate Canada Day 2021 in Calgary and the area check it out! 


1) Parkland Canada Day Parade, Calgary Parkland Community Association, July 1, 2021 


Grab your lawn chair and join the Annual Parkland Canada Day Parade with family, friends, and neighbors. The parade starts at 10:30 AM and features cars, bikes, pets, entertainment and more.

To register your vehicle, bike or pet, please contact parklandca@telus.net
All participants must pre-register with Parkland Community Association (Parkland Hall) by June 15th.


2) Canada Day Market, 200 Barclay Mall SW, Calgary, AB T2P, Canada, July 1, 2021 


Canada Day Market - It may not be the norm but we will be having a Canada Day daytime market at Eau Claire! Food Trucks and local market..Come one, Come all and celebrate and support our vendors!
See you at Eau Claire Market on Barclay Parade!!


3) X92.9 and Plain Jane Events present Monowhales, Hotel Arts, 119 12 Ave SW, Calgary



X92.9, Plain Jane Events and Russell Brewing Company present the kick off to the hotel balcony series at Hotel Arts with MONOWHALES, The Royal Foundry and School of Rock. Experience the return to live music from the rooftop of Hotel Arts and the luxury of your own private balcony. Ticket packages include one-night accommodation (2 Queen or 1 King), show and a select food and beverage menu. We've got your entire night covered from check in to check out, all you need to do is figure out what jammies you're going to rock.


4) Canada Day with Fraid Knot, Langdon Firehouse Bar & Grill, Calgary


This is going to be one to celebrate. Restrictions should hopefully be all lifted. We will have Fraid Knot on the stage from 7-11, Drink and food specials, prizes and more!! Kick off your long weekend with us this Canada Day with Fraid Knot!!



5) Canada Day Pawrty, Sleep Rover Doggie Hotel & Daycare, Calgary


Come and join us at Canada Day Pawrty Hosted By Sleep Rover Doggie Hotel & Daycare. Event starts on Thursday, 1 July 2021 and happening at Sleep Rover Doggie Hotel & Daycare Celebrating Canada Day with all those that dress in red! We will do a Group Canada Photo for all those that dressed up in red and a cute lil video! Please book in for daycare!
